Holiday, Loving The Sound Of That Word More & More.
I say i will be glad when i am away on holiday but i will in fact be going to NYC so i imagine it will be as cold as here but got friends and family to see and one cousin who is a real hoot so i will be looking forward to seeing him, sure his friends are as mad as him but i don't want to stay with him as i will be going to get away and have some R & R. That's rest and relaxation in case you didn't know what R & R was and boy could i do with some. Every day life is so stressful for all of us, sometimes we are smiling but then again what hides behind the laugh and smile usually are two different things.
To be honest i haven't been blogging that much because i have been looking in an absolute mine field of the do's and don'ts of printing a book and trust me it is harder than you think. You need to find someone that will be your agent and a guy told me that are agents are the C word. Then the publisher gets to read it or you can go the way i said and self publish with Amazon which can take approximately anywhere from 12 hours to 24 or 48 for it to be in print. But the return on that is really dreadful but the idea of self publishing isn't out of the loop because you have to start somewhere.
Also been doing other odds and sods, strange to say it is actually writing lyrics to songs that i have had in my head for a long time. Of course they will be in the majority of how the pain of love hurts and blah, blah, blah but if you listen to any of the charting songs that is unless you are Mariah Carey who couldn't be arsed to sing her songs on the roof in NY and she couldn't even lip sync them either the words had just her in the lurch.
Looking forward to writing and for you to read one of the books is going to be about the sick and disgusting women in the sex industry, if you can call sitting there going. "Oh my god" "You're the best" and anything on a par with this when the thing they really feel is the best position being waving goodbye at the door.
Will be blogging more promise but seriously got things to do and not putting my heart and soul into doing the above other than the book side the songs i have in my head i just can't write music which is a bummer so i need help on that front. Like most of us i started to learn the piano but my mother let me give up on that along with the guitar, i can though play one instrument and that is the recorder but if has to be a left handed one because i am left handed. Thankfully people don't use fish knife and forks any more but i have my own here which i did buy a while back at the left handed shop in Soho. There is nothing there you can't buy being a leftie, including scissors, if you think about it there are a lot of things we need to use left handed but i have that covered, quite a few of us in my family are left handed. You won't hear me saying that being left handed is supposed to make you smarter than the average bear but it is said that being left handed should but i rather doubt it.
Liz - Lots of things i need to get coming together, books first, the other is going to be about my family!
