I Googled Something Yesterday Because I Wanted To Read About Albert & Victoria.
I discovered quite a lot of things about them all very interesting and talking to someone about it they called today to tell me something totally different so it seems that i thought that Albert or Bertie as he was known died at the age of 42 from Typhoid and my friend said she read he died from what would now be stomach cancer as his stomach troubled him or it could have been Chrone's Disease. So there is a programme on tonight about the couple. What i also read which i haven't found out about but no doubt will later is that they were cousins. Now i can't believe they were first cousins because that can or could be a disaster as far as having children go as they don't turn out to well but if you marry a second cousin then should be okay. Personally i don't think you should intermarry at all but hey that could be just me, doubting it though. English Royalty but German to the core lest we forget.
Now back in the day's of the 1800's i imagine that to live to the age of 42 wasn't as young as it is today because people do live a lot longer now than they ever did. But married at the age of 20 to him and then 22 years later to die must be dreadful and to remain in black for the rest of your life in mourning to me shows that it was absolute, utter and complete love in every way and how many people would do that these days. I want to know loads more and i will watch and learn tonight and however long it is on for and i will be on Wiki to see if it really is the way one thinks because i would say in general they get these things right on the BBC but can't be so sure on ITV although i think when it comes to history you can't change it to the way you think it should be although in saying that i think when it comes to anything historical done by American film etc., they did win every war single handed practically. You can't trust anything you see done by the Yanks, not in my book.
Really looking forward to seeing and learning more about this couple but i do worry about them being cousins so lets find out if they were second and hopefully not first. I do hope he was as faithful to her as she was to him alive and dead. A very strong woman that ruled Britain for a very long time not sure how old she was when she pegged it i thought in her 80's but i don't know because i haven't studied the programme yet. Genuinely can't wait to watch it because knowledge is power and with power come knowledge.
Liz Hilton - Can't wait to get my specks on and watch the story of Albert and Victoria unfold.
